The Digital Zen Alarm Clock
This yoga timer features a long-resonating acoustic chime set in a hardwood box. The digital clock interface allows the clock to be used as a countdown timer or an interval timer. In the countdown timer mode, when the countdown reaches zero, the chime strikes once and then begins a progression of chime strikes as illustrated in the chart below. In the interval timer mode, the chime can be set to strike repeatedly at any interval – it can thus be used to guide you through your practice with periodic chimes. This feature is especially good for yoga because the periodic chime can signal the time to change yoga positions.

The Tibetan Phone Bell & Timer
This easy-to-use timer features a knob dial that sets the countdown time in an LED window (shown above) from 1 to 99 minutes. Simply dial the number of minutes for your yoga practice, press start, and the timer counts down backwards to zero and then strikes the 6 inch brass bowl/bell producing a complex, long-resonating tone. After the first bell strike the timer automatically continues through a gradually-increasing 10 minute progression as shown in the chart above. This strike progression sequence allows you to end your practice session after the first gong, or you can continue your practice after the first gong, allowing the gradually-increasing sequence of gongs to bring your practice to a close. (This progressive sequence of gongs feature was inspired by Thich Nhat Hahn's mindfulness bell practice.)
